Tokyo Sky tree update

The Tokyo sky tree reached its full height of 634.0 meters, and is currently on the last stage of the construction, it is scheduled for completion on December 2011, and with the gran opening for spring of 2012.

The four tower cranes used at the top during the construction have been dismantled and a small crane is still being used on top of the first observatory.

Some members of the media have been allowed to ascend to the first observatory, and the view is breathtaking. I cannot wait until next year for the opening.

Tokyo Sky Tree Update

The Tokyo Sky Tree currently under construction has reached 604 m, becoming the world’s tallest tower.


The last part of the tower, the digital antenna is being installed, although construction is schedule to finish at the end of this year.



The tower has already become a landmark. At points with a good view of the tower, people will invariably stop to appreciate the sight.

Tokyo Sky Tree Update

The construction of the Tokyo sky tree is at very advanced stage, reaching a significant milestone; the main structure seems to be completed and is now at 470 meters.


In the next stages, the second observatory and the antenna are to be completed, despite the fact that the scheduled completion date is December 2011, the structure surely will be completed well before that date.


The new tower is already generating a positive economic impact in the surrounding area, as the rent and land price is already going up.

Tokyo Sky Tree, the new Tokyo tower

A new tower of communication is being constructed in the sumida ward area to cover the new digital television broadcasting that Tokyo tower is not able to cover.


Construction of the new tower called Tokyo Sky Tree is in advanced stages, currently standing at 281m (Tokyo Tower is 333m), and is expected to be completed by December of 2011 reaching 634m of height.
